Building and Grounds Manager
Full-Time Position
This is an important professional position involving responsibility for the overall maintenance and preparation of the sports and recreation facility’s indoor and outdoor areas. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas including:
    • Mowing, trimming, pruning, and general landscaping
    • Prepare and maintain athletic fields
    • Clean facilities as needed
    • Building maintenance and repairs
  • Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance equipment including
    • Lawn mowers
    • Painting/striping equipment
    • Utility vehicles and tractors
    • Irrigation equipment
    • Man lifts
    • Other maintenance equipment
  • Complete safety inspections and practice risk management
  • Complete routine painting and general carpentry tasks
  • Willingness to perform manual labor: ability to loft heavy weights; willingness to work under all weather conditions, physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
  • Oversee and manage part-time staff

A background and/or past experience maintaining sports fields is preferred. Knowledge of general horticulture specifically how it relates to sports fields a plus.
