We have an immediate need for a skilled Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager, with at least 5 years of experience, to join our team. The Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager will play a key role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control.

Duties:

– Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates

– Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing

– Collaborate with the construction management team to develop project budgets

– Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process

– Visit construction sites to assess progress and address any cost-related issues

Qualifications:

– 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager

– Strong ability to negotiate contracts and pricing

– Knowledge of construction site operations and procedures

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating tools

– Proven experience in construction estimating and project management

– Familiarity with contract management processes

– Ability to build strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors

Responsibilities:

• Review bid opportunities and advise on the selection of bids to pursue.
• Attend all pre-bid site meetings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Analyze and comprehend project plans, specs and details.
• Analyze project financials and labor costs.
• Complete thorough bid packages for clients.
• Prepare takeoffs/estimates of costs of materials, labor and equipment.
• Prepare and follow-up on quotes (including examination and analysis of estimates).
• Establish and maintain existing relationships with Strategic Accounts (Consultants, GC’s,Customers).
• Review all contracts and quotes for accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers.
• Review products used in projects (analyze cost etc.)
• Consult and communicate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers and Clients involved at all levels of project

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience Estimating in the Commercial Roofing Industry
• NEW Construction/Roofing experience preferred
• Local market knowledge preferred
• Ability to read plans and specifications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
