Project Manager – Rochester Area
Lighting Retrofit & Energy Conservation Projects
We are a growing lighting retrofit company specializing in energy conservation projects for
school districts throughout New York State. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager
and/or Clerk of the Works to oversee lighting upgrade projects from planning through
completion.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in
active school construction environments. Candidates with electrical or construction
backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee lighting retrofit projects at school facilities
• Work with contractors, school personnel, and company leadership to ensure projects
stay on schedule
• Track project progress, materials, and documentation
• Conduct site visits and quality control inspections
• Maintain project records using Excel or Google Sheets
• Assist with scheduling, reporting, and field coordination
• Ensure safety and professionalism at all project locations
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in project management, construction oversight, or clerk of the works
roles
• Electrical experience or background preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Able to work a blend of first and second shift during school hours.
